Recently my 4 year old boy has been keen on getting a periscope. As always, I’d rather make one than buy one, but I was stuck on the problem of finding two small lightweight mirrors.  My wife came up with a fantastic solution – cutting two rectangles from an old CD. Here’s a few photos of her creation:

Image quality is more than acceptable considering the materials that went into it.
